Chris Ketley - Ellie Goulding, The Rakes
About Chris Ketley
Chris is a musician based in London. He plays Guitar, Bass and Piano.
Chris started his career in 2004 at the age of 19, playing for bands and artists around the UK on support tours, sleeping in the back of Transit vans and playing in some of the most prestigious “toilet tour venues” which the UK & Europe has to offer.
In 2006 Chris was asked to play for UK Post Punk band The Rakes as touring Guitarist and Keyboard player. Chris played with The Rakes for a total of two and a half years and was a permanent session player with them as they toured the world with their second and third records. Whilst playing for the Rakes, Chris was also given the opportunity to play for various other London based bands and artists which broadened his skill set and experience.
In September 2009, Chris was asked to play Guitar, Piano and Bass for a new female singer/songwriter called Ellie Goulding who has since risen to fame with multi million record sales around the world and has been awarded various different music industry awards such as “Best British Female Solo Artist” at the 2014 Brit Awards.
Amongst other incredible opportunities whilst playing for Ellie, Chris was also given the prestigious honour of accompanying Ellie whilst she sang her version of Elton John’s “Your Song” for Kate and William’s First Dance at The Royal Wedding in April 2011.
