If this was a car and the computerised dash board decide to stop working on some models do you think the manufacturer would just say 'oh sorry for the inconvenience' and just leave it at that without at the very least regularly updating cunstomers of progress to fix?

It is very poor to say the least. Just glad I have a friend to lend me an old laptop to get set up. I have a prefectly good mac of my own and can’t use it. BS doesn’t just stand for Blackstar.

March is here and an update isn’t. Not even a reply saying that it’s being worked on.. time to move on, I feel a Boss Katana in my future. Thanks for sucking hard BS you’ve lost a customer and a fan.

Chased support recently and got another email confirming that it’s still broken. Apparently doesn’t hinder use of amp though. I beg to differ on that one! Still not ETA on a fix. Shockingly bad.

You guys could pick up a cheap-ass used windows machine, and use it for your Blackstar Insider and your porn.

This f**kin' company is not willing to pay just $ 99 per year (!!!) to get into Apples Developer program. Just think about that. ;)
I wouldn't wonder if this crap won't be fixed ever.

I recommend to throw out all the Blackstar ID stuff and buy a better modeling amp from another manufacturer. They all got software-supported amps, that simply do the job and most of them even sound better (i. e. Boss Katana, Fender Mustang GT, Marshall Code).

They owe us a BIG apology.

WWDC is just over 2 months away. The next Mac OS will be released to developers. They really do need to do this properly. As you say $99. Have to jump through hoops just to install this crock of shit.

BTW I had a Marshall Code and sold it to get the Blackstar.

It's now March 25th 2018 and Im a new Blackstar ID Core 100 owner.

I too found the control functionality with the software to be a big draw AND splashed out on the FS-12...

I did a solid week of research into this purchase, having compared with many other similar amps in the power/pricerange and I have to say I'm totally gutted at my choice now.

Should've gone with the Boss Katana.

PLEASE sort this Blackstar before I reluctantly sell this amp on.

I would pay for an Insider that works with High Sierra. I got a new Mac with High Sierra and I don't want to revert to Sierra. Release it in the App Store and charge a fee.
