Hi,

I have just acquired my first Blackstar a pre-loved TVP260 (Thanks to Paul in Reading, this amp, one year old, is in cleaner condition than any I have seen in a dealer showroom). I am delighted with it so far. Sure it's an emulator not a bottle monster, but it is by far the best emulator I have played and responds really well to being handled like a tube amp but with greater flexibility and a wider 'sweet spot' (spots even). It also handles Strat, LP and a Taylor acoustic with equal alacrity on the mere flick of a switch. Neat.

I have a 15 y/o Mesa-Boogie Heartbreaker for the gear geeks, sold in US only so run on a transformer over 'ere. I doubt I'll be hauling the Heartbreaker out much more (back breaker more like) given my experience thus far of the TVP.

There you have it, I'll be seeing you out there. Bede
