This is my first post on the forum and is unfortunately driven by frustration with Blackstar.
I have an ID core 20 that I use to record and practice in addition to an HT1 head and cab for (small) gigs.
I decided to update the firmware on the ID Core via the Insider software and after completing the amp is now dead. I've tried the reset procedures I can find on line, contacted 4 of the suggested repair specialists from the blackstar website , none of whom are any help, and can find no way of contacting Blackstar directly.
The amp is a couple of months out of warranty so the dealer is not interested, but of course would be happy to sell me a new one!
I am loathed to spend money to replace an amp that was wirking perfectly well before this ridiculous 'upgrade'.
I read on other forums that this is a relativley common problem, but no one seems to have reached a solution.
Has anyone else had this issue and now of a fix?
Thanks for any help you can offer.

I can only sympathise DelRock. I bought a used ID Core Beam and exactly the same thing happened to me. I was fortunate to get a refund as I'd only had it 3 days. I've now bought new with a 3 year warranty, as it would appear to be a common problem as you've already mentioned. Surely Blackstar are aware of this problem, why has it not been addressed?
