I just ordered a HT-60 based on the reviews I have read and information found on this forum. I have never heard a Blackstar amp in person, but I want something different than the typical Mesa/Marshall sounds and the Blackstar stuff seems to fit the bill.
Along with the HT-60, I also purchased various pre-amp tubes(Tungsol, JJs and Groove Tubes) and plan on recording some A/B comparisons when they arrive. I will also be replacing the speakers but I haven't decided between V30's, K100's and Governors.
Thanks to everyone here in the forum, your input is what made me decide to join the Blackstar family!

Cool! I'm excited about the tube comparison, could be really cool.
I've played the HT-100 through the regular venue cab with no-name celestions and thought it sounded pretty good (I think these are the same speakers in the 2x12 you're getting), but when/if I buy the head it's going on top of an older fender 4x12 I have with Vintage-30's, I'm pretty excited about it. I'm interested to see the differences between the speakers... I really want to try it through 25w Greenbacks for more classic sound but I don't want to tear apart my original cab just to try some new speakers... but I'm very interested in these comparisons.

I will probably pick up a couple of Groove Tubes from Guitar Center also.

I'm excited about this too as I may be getting the same amp. I wasn't as interested in the speaker comparison but now maybe since I'm leaning towards the 2x12 instead of the head... can't wait to hear the clips!
How are you going to mic it? SM57 or similar? Or line out?

SM57. Possibly with an AKG 3000B for a room mic. I will see how the line out sounds and then decide whether to use it.

It's a great amp, I'm totally in love with mine. I'm still tweaking, finding different sounds. As far as speakers, I've read on other forums of people using a V30 and a K100 together, I'd like to try it but that would be an expensive test...
