Hey,

I'm playing my first gig on Dec 13th and I'll be using my Blackstar ID:30. When playing together we always rented a place that has valve amps, but now I've noticed something that gives me trouble with my ID:30.

For solos I need to boost my volume, which usually works fine on valve amps by either just upping the volume from 7 to 10 on the guitar, or activating my distortion pedal which also can boost the volume. I've tried that at home on my ID:30 and noticed that those approaches will only give me more distortion, but only a very slight boost in volume.

Any tips on what I can do to cut through for solos? Since the ID:30 does not have an FX loop that's not an option.

Thanks!
Cheers,
Clemens

have you set your patches for a lead solo, every place is different in size, halls clubs etc.. after setting up all your gear there, with the band do a run through
of a track your going to use lead, and set it and save it to patch.

MXR Micro Amp M133
Adjustable gain on my ID:30TVP, I'm happy with that.
