id core 40 head into mono cab

I just purchased the ID Core 40 Head and just have a 2x12 8ohm 120 watt Marshall cabinet. I do not really care much for stereo sound, hence I wonder if the amp will suffer any damage connecting just one of the amp outputs to the cab leaving the other one free.
