Then I would recommend the speakers that they use, Vintage 30's.

Re: HT 60 Stage Noise

When I got my HT-60 on Friday I initially had some noise issues. I was using a three prong to two prong adapter because my electric outlet was only two prong. It turns out that the lack of a grounded power supply was what was causing much of the noise. I switched out the instrument cable and plugged...

Re: Hum from ht100

I had the same problem with my HT-60, but today I think I resolved it. By ensuring that both my guitar and amp were properly grounded, I eliminated a lot of the background noise. 1. What is your power source? In the part of the house where I first plugged in my amp, there was only a two pronged sock...

Re: New Stage 60 Owner

Well, I changed the stock 12AX7's to Tungsols and the OD channels definitely sound better. Unfortunately, there is still an extreme amount of noise. I think part of the problem lies with my guitar, it may not be properly grounded. I will try another guitar and a different cable later. I was holding ...

Re: For our friends in the US

I think this is very good news. Should make it easier to get ahold of Blackstar products in the US. Getting that gear serviced should be much less of a hassle too.

Re: New Stage 60 Owner

Just got my HT-60 in today. Clean channel sounds very nice indeed but the OD channels need some work. At low volumes the sound is good but when you crank it I can hear the "harshness" that others complain about. It sounds kind of dry and lacks tone, kind of like a solid state amp's lead channel turn...

Re: New Stage 60 Owner

Why haven't you ordered new preamp tubes yet? Its the least expensive way to make your HT-60 sound better. You can replace all three preamp tubes for around $35 US. You probably don't even need to change the ECC82/12AU7. A lot of people have reported that changing the V2 preamp tube in the HT-60 tak...

Re: Just ordered a HT-60! I will be recording A/B comparisons of tubes and speakers soon.

I'm excited about this too as I may be getting the same amp. I wasn't as interested in the speaker comparison but now maybe since I'm leaning towards the 2x12 instead of the head... can't wait to hear the clips! How are you going to mic it? SM57 or similar? Or line out? SM57. Possibly with an AKG 3...
