Re: HT 60 blew up

I hope you find out what the problem is. I just sent my HT 40 back Tuesday. .had it 28 days..similar where mine made a whooping noise, kinda like a vacuum cleaner sucking, then volume high and low..stayed on but no sound..I decided to exchange it for another brand amp..sucks but I live in the countr...

Re: HT Club 40 bias

Re: HT Club 40 bias

I just watched a youtube video on biasing a Blackstar HT 20..showed the guy hooked up multimeter to a resistor behind one of the tube sockets, then turned power on, let it warm up good, guy said Blackstar recommends the reading to be 11.5, and his was around 12.6-12.7..He said to turn the bias adjus...

Re: HT Club 40 bias

That sounds pretty easy to do. So if I am right ? Best place to check the plate voltage is on the opposite side of the actual tube sockets, find the pin (s) and count them to get the right ones, amp on and out of standby position, if this is correct do we leave the tubes in and measure the voltage, ...

Re: HT Club 40 bias

I am sure this has been talked about before on here but how do I check the plate voltage on this amp ? I have seen several posts about this on other forums, but never really gives the answer..something like put a multimeter red here and black to ground, nothing about if amp is in standby or not..and...

Re: HT Club 40 bias

I figured out the problem. .on my multimeter it doesn't show Mv, but shows it under the Vdc range-200v=the milli volt setting. .and the bias checker tool that does 2 tubes at once worked perfectly. .the amp has about 20 hours max on it, and the bias was at 31.2 Mv..barely got the amp going, so I bum...

HT Club 40 bias

Checked out a friend of mines Club 40..tried to check the bias with the plug into tube socket (s), then tubes into them..we did everything right as far as we know. .pulled chassis, removed both stock power tubes, inserted the bias checker sockets in amps tube sockets, plugged red and black wires int...

Re: Eminence 12" The Tonker speaker trade ?

I decided to keep my Tonker speaker. .built a cabinet the same specs as a Blackstar 1×12" cabinet, plugged into 8 ohm jack, and this speaker blows the Celestion 70 / 80 away at all volumes!! I knew it would due to prior experience with it..In my opinion Eminence speakers sound awesome, don't get the...
