Re: Series One 45 revalve kit from Watford Valves

I've installed the new tubes and adjusted the bias. Initial impressions are very good. The amp is now much warmer, with the overdrive channel(s) greatly improved, losing the fizz.

Series One 45 revalve kit from Watford Valves

Hi

Does anyone have any experience of the Watford Valves full revalve kit? I'm hoping for a slightly smoother and less bright overdrive channel. Clean is very nice as it is.

Re: ID60 Footswitch Crashing

I had some problems with my FS-10, similar to yours. My issues were caused by a faulty guitar lead used to connect the footswitch to the amplifier.

Re: ID:60 clipping on Clean Warm with 6V6/KT66

I've solved this issue - by buying a Series One 45. Playing the Series One, it reminds me that even though the emulation on the ID Series is very good, it doesn't have the immediacy or feel of a real valve amp. Mind you, the Series One is big and heavy and ID:60 is a great amp for ad hoc gigs to thr...

ID:60 clipping on Clean Warm with 6V6/KT66

I'm trying to get a nice crunchy warm sound from my ID:60 but have noticed definite clipping when cranking the gain on Clean Warm and using either 6V6 or KT66. This is most noticeable as the sound tails off. This effect is only slightly present in the other tube emulations, so I tend to use the EL34...

Running Insider on Linux

Hi

Has anyone got Insider running under linux, either natively, or via a virtual machine? I can get it to run under VirtualBox, but it can't see my amplifier.

How does the Mac version work? I didn't think Silverlight was supported on Macs.

Many thanks

Phase 90 patch

Does anyone have any hints on how to get a script Phase 90 sound from the phaser. It either sounds too pronounced or anaemic. I'm comparing it to a genuine Phase 90 and the two are miles apart!

Cheers

Re: Jumping back onto the ID bandwagon

I've got the Blackstar FS10. It's great for switching between four patches in the same bank, but the other modes are too complicated for live use. Holding down buttons for bank up/down is OK, but dedicated switches would be far better. Using the effects on/off is unusable if you also need to switch ...

Re: Intermittent signal dropout on ID:60??

I've worked out the cause. Because the single speaker combo is quite directional, the dropouts were due to other band members wandering about in front of the amplifier. Normally, this isn't a problem, but the angle between me and the amplifier in this instance was quite large. Perhaps I should have ...

Intermittent signal dropout on ID:60??

I was gigging the other day and had several occasions when the volume level on my ID:60 dropped significantly for a few seconds. Admittedly, it could be a number of different things, but I haven't experienced any dropouts with other amps recently, so I doubt it was the lead or the guitar. I'm runnin...
