Amp / Pedals: HT Club 50

About: I play in cover bands and tribute bands. The music I cover ranges from SRV, Van Halen, Nickelback, Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters, Weezer-etc. My amp has to take pedals well in order for me to get the tones for a wide variety of music. The Blackstar HT Club 50 does that.

Why Blackstar?: It is incredibly versatile. I play it through either a 1936 2x12 cab with Celestion seventy-80s or a Stiletto 4x12 with Celestion Vintage 30s. This amp is a keeper.

Amp / Pedals: HT-50 Full Stack and HT Club 40 Combo

About: Hey fellow Blackstarers. Been playing for 35yrs, gigging for 30 of them. My main axe is a Fender Deluxe Strat with a Dimarzio Super Distortion Humbucker in the bridge and a Seymour Duncan Hot Rail in the neck. I also use a Yamaha SG500 with Slash Alnico 2 Pro's. I play rock mainly... think balls-to-the-wall kinda stuff: AC/DC, GNR kinda stuff. I also love playin' the Blues... I just love the guitar in all of its many forms.

Why Blackstar?: I searched... man did I search... for MANY years to find the ultimate, and I sure as hell found it with Blackstar. I've been through too many amps to mention and have never seen the scope that these amps have. Jimi, Eddie, Angus, Setzer, they're all in there. My Blackstar's can do it all. For me, the greatest tone I've ever heard is running my HT-50 on clean with a Boss OD-2 in front of it, with a 6 band EQ in the loop. Face melting stuff. My search was finally over. Thank you Blackstar!

Band: The Voodoo Sheiks

Genre(s): Blues

Website(s): http://www.voodoo-sheiks.com

Country: UK

Amp / Pedals: HT Stage 60, HT Stage 100 Head and HTV-212, HT Soloist 60 and HTV-112

About: I started playing the guitar at the age of fourteen and have attended both the Guitar Institute in London and the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford where I achieved a Distinction in Contemporary Guitar Performance. Influenced by guitarist such as Wilko Johnson, Ritchie Blackmore and Gary Moore, I gig regularly with 2 bands, the main one being my British R&B/Texas Blues style band The Voodoo Sheiks.

Why Blackstar?: Blackstar products give you instant usable sounds right from plugging in. You don't get that fizzy gain that you get with some amps. Its tone range is right across the board form Blues to Metal and everything in between. I love my Blackstar gear and have recommended it to many people, some who have gone on to purchase a Blackstar product.

Band: Ascites

Genre(s): Technical Death Metal

Website(s):

Country: Egypt

Amp / Pedals: HT Club 40

About: I've been playing for 6 years, technical death metal with my band and also I'm a blues fan and player.

Why Blackstar?: I really like the versatility of the Blackstar. I play death metal and blues? Yeah! And the Blackstar gave me that nice heavily distorted tone and also that SRV blues. I don't need much pedals I only use delay, noise gate, tube screamer, and it really rocks on stage.

Amp / Pedals: Blackstar Series One 100, Blackstar ID:260TVP

About: Started learnng the axe five years ago. Four of those have been in the only band I know, The Copyrites. We are pub/club covers act playing the Midlands UK. Usually use a Les Paul Standard through a Series One 100W, Vintage 30 loaded 2X12 and a Nova System for any effects, patch changing via MIDI.

Why Blackstar?: The Series One has amazing versatility with the 4 channels. Love the DPR - when I'm asked to turn down during the soundcheck I can tweak the DPR to ensure the amp is still working as hard as I need to get the tone I like. Recently purchased an ID:260TVP - it's been great for rehearsals: really valve like response. Not quite ready for gigs yet (although done 1) but I'm sure a bit more time and it will be there.

Band: The Shine

Genre(s): Rock, Classic Rock

Website(s): http://www.theshineonline.co.uk

Country: Scotland

Amp / Pedals: ID:60TVP

About: After more than 20 years playing bass in a range of bands - from original rock to "clubland" and everything in between, I formed The Shine in January 2004. In forming the band I took on lead vocal and guitar roles and have continued to develop these ever since. Our style is largely classic rock - my area of first love! Our material covers everything from the Beatles to Green Day but I am happiest in the material of Alice Cooper, Aerosmith etc.

Why Blackstar?: What do I like about my Blackstar ID:60TVP? I don't like my Blackstar, I ADORE it!! In playing with the band and in solo material, for a long time I've thought "I wish I could have an AC30-ish creamy clean and a soaring Mesa tone for heavy stuff & solos". Until recently I was happy with my Marshall - until I discovered ID:Series amps. I now have the ideal of my perfect clean, perfect American OD power and a lovely Marshall-ish crunch in the middle, all through a click of the footswitch!

Band: Couch (as in, in front of the TV)

Genre(s): Whatever sounds good!

Country: Netherland

Amp / Pedals: HT-1R

About: Started at 14, now 52. First in band at 16 for a few years, after that mainly private, then started giving the neighbour some guitar lessons. Have a 1981 Champ, great sound but even 6 Watt is too loud! Then came the HT-1R in the picture. Bought it without listening, very happy with it. Be proud of "designed in the UK". Had a Union Jack enamel which should have gone on my Triumph Bonnie but it suits the HT-1R also.

Why Blackstar?: LESS IS MORE - away with all the equalizer fiddle diddle knobs. Never use the tones pots on my strat. If you want to fiddle, do it on the neck!

Band: Eccentric

Genre(s): Dance/Rock

Website(s): http://www.eccentricband.com

Country: USA

Amp / Pedals: HT Club 40

About: I've been playing for twenty five years and only recently have I really started to play. My current band Eccentric is a dance/rock band that forces me to play many different styles. I like being in situations where I have to work to make something happen and when it does its just that much better.

Why Blackstar?: I like the versatility of the thing. It was easy to get a sound from it... I'm able to dial in just the right tone for all the different material I'm forcing my self to play these days.
